EL CIUDAD DE LONDRÉS
Por desgracia, los verbos compuestos son una parte intrínseca del idioma Inglés e inevitable, si usted está tratando de aprender inglés. El problema es que no siempre son fáciles de aprender y, a veces pueden parecer ilógicos. Y lo peor, hay un montón.
A continuación se presentan algunos verbos compuestos que usamos comúnmente en Inglés y que son de utilidad. Utilizamos todas ellas regularmente como parte de nuestro uso diario de Inglés y aprendiendo estos se extenderá el idioma Inglés considerablemente.

Get along – llevarse bien The children get along with each other very well
Get at – implicarse What are you getting at?
Get away – Escapar We need to get away from here and go on holiday
Get by – gestionar I can get by on my own
Get down to – empezar I am going to get down to the cooking now
Get in – entrar Get in the car
Get off – salir Get off the bicycle now
Get on – embarcando They are getting on the plane
Get over – recuperarse She is getting over her cold

Give away – obsequiar Give away a token with every sale
Give back – devolver He gave back the coat he borrowed
Go along (with) – estar de acuerdo She will go along with you to the cinema
Go through – Pasar Go through to the entrance lounge
Go up – Subir Go up to the first floor
Hand back – Devolver She handed back the key to him
Hand down – transmitir My father handed down the estate to me
Hand in – dar She handed in the results to the headmaster
Hand out – distribuir Distribute the leaflets all round town
Hand over – dar autoridad He handed over his directorship to her
Hang back –es reacio/a He is hanging back as he hates dogs
Hang on – espera Hang on there for five minutes
Hang out – pasar tiempo con los amigos He is always hanging out at the local bar
Hang up – finalizar conversación telefónica She hung up on me
Head off – atajar Head off those children before they get to the road
Head for – dirigirse hacia Head for the big white hotel
Hit back – tomar represalias The US hit back at Al Qaeda
Hit on – estar inspirado He hit on a great idea
Hold on – esperar Hold on for ten minutes whilst I go to the shops
Hold up – anular Hold up the traffic whilst the police come
Hurry up – dares prisa Hurry up before the food finishes
